I can understand their paranoia regarding Piracy but surely if the software is to be used on a Sony camcorder that would represent supporting a customer.
#SONY PMB DOWNLOAD WINDOWS 10 SERIAL#
It is certainly silly if you can provide them with a Camcorders serial no and sale receipt to not give you the CD if one was supplied. If we host it or directly link it when they don't, we open ourselves to accusation of distributing their intellectual property when they are notĪs such it is the Forums Policy not to be seen to be openly promoting this whatever our private and personal views It is by no means special but it is worth having and I think Sony should make it downloadable on thier website but they chose not to. I do however sympathise with you regarding Sonys PMB. Not all Sony camcorders come with any software anyway but it is a lesson to (if possible) open a package and check in store to see that it is complete before leaving. Which Handy cam is it? Tape, HDD or Memory Stick. However, Sony Vegas 8 software is a viable alternative, you can try it by using the trial version Sony it seems, doesn't not give it away Even for some updates they require the serial no of the camcorder and part no of your original disc If not I imagine someone on here might be able to copy their CD and post it to you They ( the SD models) are simply seen as a "drive" in My computer and the files copied by drap / drop or copy paste, once the camcorder is attached to the PC by USBĮven if it not immediately seen, it would be windows drivers, rather than MPB that would enable recognition of the camcorder by the PC

I thought ( think still) that you can download the footage without the software, in the same way you can copy off mpeg2 files of HDD of Sonys Standard def HDD models Even if MPB came with the HC7 it would be for downloading stills, This can just as easily be done via a USB media reader. At any rate HDV camcorders generally do not not with any discs or software. Any PC with firewire should enable downloading with HDV. This thread started by reffering to the HC7 which being an HDV model does not record in AVCHD.
